Rupert Brown, the creator of the app T-Minus, is pretty busy these days. In between working with artists, he’s done the music world a favor by creating an app that provides relief for a common problem many musicians face: Tinnitus.
For those unaware, Tinnitus is the perception of noise or ringing in the ears.it affects about 15 to 20 percent of people and is often noted as a precursor to some form of hearing loss or damage that’s usually caused by repeated exposure to loud sounds.
The app itself consists of a library of sounds that Brown & co. have created to mask the sounds that are associated with Tinnitus. While everyone’s Tinnitus is different the sound library includes broadband sounds, modulated sound, and fractal tones — all of which are aimed at relieving symptoms of Tinnitus.
